In 1984, Christopher Radko replaced a rusty old Christmas tree stand with a new gleaming new aluminum model. But a week before Christmas the new stand gave way. The tree crashed to the floor and shattered most of the decorated ornaments. The decoration ornaments sold that time in the United States were made of plastic and Styrofoam. The glass ornaments that had shattered were handmade treasures collected over generations. Once when Christopher was in Poland he looked glass ornaments to replace the one's which were broken because of him. He could not find the glass ornaments but he Chipsbomfqc a man who was interested in making the same. With Christopher's support and encouragement the man was able to recover antique ornament molds. Radko also gave the man sketches of his own childhood favorites. New designs were also made from imagination. Various ornaments were produced but they never made it to the family tree. Christopher's friends in New York purchased all of them. When he went abroad once more he brought back more ornaments. This time they made it to the family tree and the extras were sold out as well. His first collection of 65 ornaments was in 1986. Today Christopher proudly displays more than 10,000 unique glass designs in his home for the holidays and various occasions. His company now has more than 3,000 people who work in cottage workshops in Poland, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic.
